Hey folks, we’re still up north having a look around today. We caught a fun beachbreak in the morning and then hit up the point in the afternoon.
we moved back up the point in the afternoon and Carla took up lens duty again today.

Hey folks, Mike here with your Monday afternoon surf report. We took a gamble and headed up north to a classic Nicaraguan point and found some grinding barrels.
Chris, Boogie, and I paddled out and had the lineup all to ourselves while Carla graciously took some photos while sunbathing.
Thanks again to Carla for the photos! Check back tomorrow, we’re hoping to find some more fun waves…

Popoyo Nicaragua Surf Report. Solid swell today. We cruised around to check out a few different points and a beachbreak.

Nicaragua secret spot offered up a few makeable tubes as the wind switched lite offshore in the afternoon for a couple hours. Two guys out. Scott from New Jersey and our guest Marcus from Australia were pulling into some backlit tubes.

The surf in southwest Nicaragua came down a bit today. The pointbreak was still dishing up some fun waves. Our guest Ryan from San Francisco, CA was enjoying his last day surfing in Nicaragua to the fullest, catching a lot of good ones way up the point. For the last half hour of his session, he got the break all to himself with a couple of the earlier takers breaking their boards or taking nasty wipeouts. We’ll give it 4 stars today.

Nicaragua “secret” spot surf report. The pointbreak was doing it’s thing and serving up slabs for those willing to push over the ledge. Some real grinding, spitting tubes today.

Playa Popoyo semi “secret” pointbreak provided some fun slabs today. We’ll give it 3 out of 5 chile peppers.

The surf in the Rivas province of Nicaragua was epic for several hours this morning/mid-day. We had very clean conditions and a nice, peaky swell wedging into some thickees. Only shot photos for 15 minutes; the waves were looking too good!

Popoyo Nicaragua surf report. We stumbled upon a rare sandbar that is usually unsurfed on the way to another spot. The sand has shifted a lot lately and this peak was providing uncrowded throbbing tubes all morning. The few who found it were stoked. The best waves and biggest tubes were going unridden, but everyone was making plenty of tubes. This was one of the top days I’ve seen at this rare peak…

Secret Nicaragua pointbreak was doing it’s thing today as the swell dropped a bit. We’ll give it 4 out of 5 chile peppers. Very clean, beautiful conditions and plenty of makeable tubes. We’ve got a solid crew staying with us right now, and it looks like the waves are going to bump up again tonight or tomorrow morning. We’ll be headed out on the boat in the morning to search for waves…
