Playa Guasacate offered some fun corners this morning with glassy conditions. There was an occasional thick barrel coming through with a few guys taking advantage. Sun was out first thing in the morning, then quickly becoming overcast. 3 out of 5 chile peppers.

Popoyo Nicaragua showing a new swell and clean conditions this morning. The sun is shining bright today and some shapely swells are pulsing through. The best waves are going unridden, but we’ll have to give it 5 out of 5 chile peppers.

The surf in southwest Nicaragua came down a bit today. The pointbreak was still dishing up some fun waves. Our guest Ryan from San Francisco, CA was enjoying his last day surfing in Nicaragua to the fullest, catching a lot of good ones way up the point. For the last half hour of his session, he got the break all to himself with a couple of the earlier takers breaking their boards or taking nasty wipeouts. We’ll give it 4 stars today.

Playa Santana provided great waves for the final day of the ALAS Santana Latin Pro. Performance levels were high as the surfers ripped the juicy surf in front of a record crowd seen at this beach. Rafael Pereira carried the day with his spicy brand of power surfing with radical airs mixed in.

Playa Santana provided super fun surf this afternoon. We got there around mid-tide and were among the first few out. The tide filled in and we all got some good tubes. We’ve got a crew from South Florida  on about their 6th day straight laughing because every day has been just about the same, overhead and barreling. We’ll give it 4 out of 5 chile peppers today.

Popoyo Nicaragua had fun, glassy surf this morning before the wind came light onshore late morning. The rights coming off the rivermouth were firing and the main peak had some nice A-framing walls. We’ll give it 3 out of 5 stars because it came light onshore. The sun is back out, but the water is still a little brown from all the rain we’ve been having. Tropical Storm Bonnie is about to strike south Florida, and this disturbance has our regular offshore flow a little out of sorts, but it looks like we’ll be returning to our regular patterns soon!
