Managua Airport Taxi to Popoyo Nicaragua

managua airport to popoyo

Our rugged and reliable 4X4 transport fits 6 or more passengers

Getting to Popoyo from the Managua Nicaragua Airport can be a daunting task. The route can be difficult even if you’ve been to Popoyo before. Intimidating police checkpoints are a common sight, and any vehicle with surf boards on top is suspect for a stop.

Leave your worries behind and leave your transportation to Popoyo in the hands of the locals. Simply email us your itinerary and we will be waiting at the airport exit gate with a poster with your name on it. We will take you to one of our house rentals or rooms here in Popoyo, or wherever you would like in Popoyo, Guasacate, Santana or other local beaches.

Be prepared for the ride to Popoyo lasting 3 hours, with the last hour down unpaved, bumpy country roads.

We’ll be happy to help you change your dollars into cordobas (the local currency) or take you to an ATM (which is nonexistent in Popoyo). Also, we can stop and get a bite to eat or get supplies on our way out to the coast. Likewise, if your flight arrives early, we can do our best to get you quickly and safely to the coast for an afternoon session at Popoyo!

Transportation to Popoyo for up to 2 people is $120. 3 to 5 people is $150. Our Nissan Patrol can comfortably seat 6 passengers. We can easily fit 10 boards on top.

Please send us your full flight itinerary so we will have your airline company, flight number, and city of origin. This will help us to monitor your arrival on the flight boards. On arrival, look for Mike or our other driver, Gerald, wearing a NicaWaves T shirt.

Hi! My boyfriend and I are looking to come down in early April – approximately Apr 4-11 2012. Do you have availability? Possibly Green room?
Thanks!

Hi,
two of us are looking to rent something like the Green Room for the month of March (2012). Is it available, and do you have a monthly fee (vs daily)?

Thanks!

Hey guys,

My girlfriend and I are flying into managua from lax at midnight June 25th, which is in 10 days we’re flying in on spirit airlines and are staying at a friends house in popoyo area for 6 months to a year. wondering if sunday the 26th works better around 10:00 am. Thought we’d just stay the night across the street from the airport.

Spirit airlines is fairly cheap to fly but the baggage fees etc… are insane and are going to kill me.Is there any way you could take my girlfriend and I to popyo for $100 bucks cash? It would really help. Please let me know what works best for you, thanks,

Barry and Lucinda

Hello,
Im planning my trip to nicaragua and happen to come across your website. My girlfriend and I were interested in staying at you place if available and getting an airport pickup. We are flying in friday June 25th at 11am. Please shoot us an email and let us know if that is a possibility. We heard a lot of great things about your place so we look forward to hearing from you.
