Popoyo Nicaragua offered up waves in the excellent range today. A strong south swell around 190 degrees combined with an incoming lunar tide and light offshore winds. Popoyo outer reef, the inside corner of outer reef Popoyo, Popoyo proper, and the peak at the river mouth bordering Guasacate were all firing. Nicaragua does it again!
Shot some friends and clients for a couple hours, and flailed by not bringing my board or shorts. Watching the aqua blue peaks peeling perfectly was torture. Fortunately, my friend Michael Files was visiting Popoyo. He graciously offered me a board and his shorts and shot some photos of me below. I don’t get shots very often, as I’m usually the one shooting. Thanks Mike! Mike’s an interesting, well-travelled fellow. Check out his Vicarious Art Collection.
