Playa Santana Nicaragua provided fun yet windy conditions today. The first larger swell of the season was increasing during the day. The swell was getting hyped up by everybody, and it was too bad it was joined by some very gusty winds above 20 knots. We’ll give it three chile peppers out of five because of the wind. We surfed this beachbreak in the morning, then took our guests around to look for waves a bit. Turns out that Popoyo was the best spot, so we walked down there and had two more sessions mid-day and afternoon. Long, rippable walls and occasionable tube sections rolled in all day.
