Nicaragua Secret Spot Surf Report, July 9th

The surf in the Rivas province of Nicaragua was epic for several hours this morning/mid-day. We had very clean conditions and a nice, peaky swell wedging into some thickees. Only shot photos for 15 minutes; the waves were looking too good!

I Just got home from Nica and was totally stoked on the waves. I live in the Gulf now and we could be run out at anytime cuz of oil. It was really crowded my 1ST day at Colorados but I still got a ton of waves. No problems. Next day a bit smaller but still got some killer rides with only about eight or ten people out for awhile. Thanks.

Nonlocal … I'm betting you or one of your buddies violated the rules of the road before "these guys" started dropping in on you. I was there for six weeks and not once did the lokes get agro. In fact they were super friendly. The only attitude in the water at santana that i ever saw came from poseurs from cali and oz who imported their bad manners to nica. but i think you should definitely stay away from santana. cause your bad vibes radiate from everything you say. you speak for yourself.

Nah these guys purposely dropped in on us and then when we got tired of it and said something they all wanted to paddle in and fight us. Yeah right like i'm going to paddle in and fight on a random beach in another country that is full of huge stones. That sounds like a freakin great idea to me. You better believe I left with my tail between my legs. You also better believe that these guys are not the non violent type you guys say. Did you forget that just 3 years ago a couple at the beach was held up at knife point on the road after the locals put a log in the road to block them in? Everywhere else we went the people were wonderful and we had nothing but a great time. This beach however is another story and I will never go back there. Oh yeah and one last thing. That blonde hair guy with the wanna be mohawk thinks he is a local and someone needs to tell him otherwise. Freakin classic…

In Deep South Mexico, Banditos would drop trees in the road to stop vehicles and, yes, rob the drivers and passengers of the vehicle; however, this happened usually in the middle of the night, on descelent roads, not neighborhood roads in places such as Santana. If you haven’t already read “In search of captain zero” give it a read,

Hey Nonlocal, sounds like you got your lil feelings hurt and couldn’t hold your own in the line-up. You need not to encourage violent aggression. It is not acceptable In Nica or Hawaii for that matter. After reading your message your the one sounding like a moron!

Maybe you shouldn't go back to Nica, Nonlocal. I stayed for an entire month and had no problems with anyone. All of the locals were very friendly and were genuinely stoked just to be in the water every day. I agree with Chal, violent aggression is not acceptable!
